Use your brand colors and assets in the email builder

Your Brand Library colors and images are built into the email builder, so you can style content with your brand palette and insert approved brand imagery without copying hex codes or re-uploading files.

Your Brand Library feeds the email builder directly. Every color picker offers your brand palette, and the image upload window lets you pick from your organisation's brand assets. Nothing to turn on, and nothing to copy and paste.

Both features pull from the same place: the brand set up for the property you're working in. If that property doesn't have its own brand, Bookboost falls back to your organisation's default brand, so brand colors and assets always appear.

Before you start

  • Your organisation has a Brand Library set up, with colors and images added.

  • You're editing an email campaign or template in the drag-and-drop Editor. Neither feature appears in Message or Paste HTML mode.

Brand colors in the color picker

Open any color picker in the builder, whether for text, background, buttons, or borders, and you'll find a Brand colors group alongside the standard options. It's selected by default, so your palette is the first thing you see.

The group holds your seven core brand colors:

  • Brand

  • Accent

  • Button text

  • Header text

  • Paragraph

  • Success

  • Error

There's nothing to configure. If you update a color in the Brand Library, reopen the editor to pick up the change.

Brand assets in the image picker

When you add an image block, the upload window now has a Select from brand assets button. It opens a picker showing your organisation's brand images.

  1. Add an image block in the email builder, or click an existing one to replace its image.

  2. In the upload window, click Select from brand assets.

Click on Select from brand assets

  3. Use the property dropdown at the top to choose whose assets you want to browse. It defaults to the campaign's property, and has a search box if you have a long list.

  4. Search for the asset by name, or scroll to find it.

    Click on Insert as dynamic…

  5. Choose how to insert it:

    • Insert image places that specific picture in the email. Everyone who receives the campaign sees the same image.

    • Insert as dynamic places a token instead. When the email is sent, the token resolves to the matching image for each recipient's own property.

Static or dynamic: which to choose

Use Insert image when the picture should be the same for everyone, for example a campaign-specific hero image or a group logo.

Use Insert as dynamic when you're building one campaign that goes to guests across several properties and each should see their own property's image. You build the email once instead of duplicating it per property.

Dynamic assets look empty while you're editing, and that's expected. A dynamic asset resolves at send time, so the builder can't know which image to show yet. It appears as a placeholder until the email is delivered. Nothing is broken and nothing is missing, so don't replace it with a static image to "fix" it. Use the campaign's test send if you want to confirm the real image before going live.

Known limitations

  • Seven brand colors. The palette holds your seven core colors and can't be extended today.

  • No preview for dynamic assets. They show as a placeholder in the builder and only resolve when the email is sent.

  • Images only. The asset picker shows image assets. Video assets aren't offered.

  • The picker loads once. Both the color palette and the asset list reflect the Brand Library as it was when you opened the editor. If someone adds a color or an image while you're working, close and reopen the editor to see it.

Common use cases

  • Style a campaign in your brand colors without keeping a list of hex codes to hand.

  • Reuse an approved logo or hero image across campaigns instead of re-uploading it each time.

  • Send one multi-property campaign where each guest sees their own hotel's image, using a dynamic asset.

  • Get a newly added property sending on-brand email straight away, using the organisation's default brand.

Common questions

Do I need to turn this on?
No. Brand colors appear in every color picker automatically, and Select from brand assets is in the image upload window for everyone with a Brand Library.

The property I'm working in doesn't have its own brand. Will I still see brand colors?
Yes. Bookboost falls back to your organisation's default brand, so the palette is never empty.

Can I add more than seven brand colors?
Not today. The seven core colors are what the picker holds. Let us know if you need more, as we're tracking demand for it.

My dynamic asset shows as a placeholder. Is it broken?
No. Dynamic assets resolve when the email is sent, so the builder shows a placeholder instead. Use a test send to see the real image.

I just added a new image to the Brand Library and can't find it in the picker.
The picker reads the Brand Library from the moment you opened the editor. Close the editor and reopen it, and the new asset will be there.

Can I insert a brand video?
No. Only image assets appear in the picker.

Do these work in Paste HTML mode?
No. Both features live in the drag-and-drop Editor. In Paste HTML mode you'd reference your image URLs and hex codes directly in the markup.
