Update reservation arrival and departure times with Mews 2-way forms

Let guests change their arrival or departure time from a Mews 2-way form, with the new time synced straight back to Mews.

Introduction

Guests can update their arrival or departure time directly from a Mews 2-way form, and the change syncs straight back to your PMS. Early check-in and late check-out requests no longer need manual entry from your team, when a guest submits the form, the new time is written to Mews automatically.

How it works

A 2-way form field can be bound to the reservation's arrival or departure time and accepts a time value from the guest. On submission, Bookboost combines the submitted time with the reservation's existing date in the property's timezone and writes the new arrival or departure time back to Mews. The update appears in Mews immediately, so your front desk and housekeeping see the change without any extra steps.

Setting it up

To let guests update their arrival or departure time:

  • Open or create a 2-way form in the Digital Reception > Forms section. If you are new to forms, see How to create a Form.

  • Add a time field to the form.

  • Bind the field to the reservation's arrival time or departure time.

  • Save and publish the form, then share it with guests through a campaign, link, or QR code.

When a guest submits the form, the new time is pushed to Mews automatically — no staff action required.

Common use cases

  • Early check-in and late check-out. Let guests request a different arrival or departure time from a self-service form, without your team keying it into Mews.

  • Capturing the actual arrival time. Collect the real arrival time for operations, housekeeping, and front-desk planning.

  • Pre-stay and in-stay flows. Confirm or adjust timing as part of a wider form, such as registration or an upsell.

Things to know

  • Only the time can be changed through the form. The date stays fixed to the reservation's original arrival or departure day.

  • This is available for the Mews PMS integration only. Other PMS connectors are not affected.

  • If Mews rejects the requested time — for example, a time outside the allowed window — the guest sees a general submission error. For the current limits, see Mews integration limitations and things to know.
