Custom dashboards are built by Creator Seats. Viewers can see the result but can't build their own.
When the pre-built dashboards don't show your data the way your team needs it, you can build your own. A custom dashboard is a set of tiles you choose, arranged in one view.
When to build one
A weekly review needs a curated set of tiles in one place.
A specific property or segment deserves its own focused view.
Tiles that live across the pre-built Reservations, Marketing, and Inbox dashboards would be more useful together.
How to build one, step by step
Go to Home and click "+ New" (top left).
Pick a starting point. On the "How would you like to start?" screen, choose a Topic: Guest Profiles, Marketing, Reservations, or Unified Inbox. (You can also start from SQL, a blank table, or a spreadsheet, but a Topic is the usual choice.)
Build your first tile. Choose fields from the data panel and pick how to display them using the Results / Chart / Both views. Refine until the tile answers one clear question. See Creating custom tiles.
Add more tiles. Use the tab bar at the bottom of the workbook — the "+" adds another query tab — and build each tile the same way.
Add dashboard-level filters so viewers can slice the whole dashboard at once. See Filters in custom dashboards.
Save it. Click "+ Dashboard" (top right), review the suggested Name and Description, choose where it lives — My documents, Hub, Shared with me, or Favorites — and click Save.
Build tiles faster with the Workbook Agent
Inside a workbook you can open the Workbook Agent and describe the tile you want in plain language. It builds the query and chart, which you can then save into the dashboard — with the dashboard's context and filters already applied. See Saving Insights Agent answers as dashboard tiles.
Sharing it
Where you save the dashboard controls who sees it: choose Hub (or a shared folder) for a dashboard the whole team uses, or My documents to keep it personal until you're ready to share.
