Saving Insights Agent answers as dashboard tiles

How to turn a one-off Insights Agent answer into a tile on a dashboard your team can return to.

When the Insights Agent gives you a useful answer, you can save it so your team can return to it — turning a one-off question into part of your regular review.

When to save an answer

  • It's a question you'll ask again and again.

  • The answer is one you want to track over time.

  • A colleague needs to see it regularly without you re-running the query each time.

How to save, step by step

  1. Open the answer in the workbook. From the Agent's chart, open it in the workbook (Explore) view. The Agent stays docked alongside as the Workbook Agent, so you keep its context.

  2. Check the view. Use the Results / Chart / Both tabs to confirm the chart and adjust fields if needed. Limits and SQL show exactly what was queried, and Explain query summarises what the query does and the data it draws on.

  3. Click "+ Dashboard" (top right).

  4. In the Save document dialog, review the Name and Description — the Agent suggests both — and choose where it lives: My documents, Hub, Shared with me, or Favorites (you can add a folder).

  5. Click Save. The chart is saved and added to a dashboard, where it behaves like any other tile — dashboard filters apply and it refreshes with new data.

Where to save it

  • My documents — personal; only you and people you explicitly share with can see it.

  • Hub — your organisation's shared space, for tiles the team relies on.

  • Favorites — quick access to the ones you open most.

Choose Hub (or a shared folder) when the tile is for the team, and My documents when it's just for you.

Tip: save from inside the workbook

Open the Agent from inside the workbook of the dashboard you're building. The Workbook Agent keeps that dashboard's context and filters, so a saved tile lands in the right place and behaves correctly. If you save from the standalone Agent chat instead, you may need to reapply dashboard-level filters.
