Reports overview

What the Campaign reports section covers: the Overview, Reach and Campaigns screens, and how the period selector works.

Campaign reports answers four different questions. Overview tells you how much conversation is happening with guests and how quickly you reply. Reach tells you how many of your guests you are able to contact at all. Campaigns tells you how many of the messages you sent actually got through. The Marketing dashboard tells you how those messages performed. Between them they set the ceiling on what any campaign can achieve, and show you where it is leaking.

Opening it

  1. Go to Campaigns in the left-hand menu.

  2. Open Campaign reports. It opens on the Overview screen.

  3. Underneath it you will find Marketing dashboard, Campaigns and Reach.

  4. Use the date range selector at the top to choose the period you want.

  5. If your account manages several properties, use the property selector to filter by location.

There is no separate Reports area in the menu. Everything below is inside Campaigns.

Choosing the period

Both these screens and an individual campaign's own report offer the same nine periods:

Today, Yesterday, This week, Last week, This month, Last month, This year, Last year and All time, plus a custom range of your own.

The two present them differently. Here, Select dates opens a panel with the periods listed beside a two-month calendar you can drag a range across. On a campaign report, the calendar icon opens a Select period dropdown with a separate field for custom dates. Either way, confirm with Apply.

The four screens

  • Overview. Conversation volume and response time across your channels. This is what Campaign reports opens on, and despite sitting here it is about conversations rather than campaigns.

  • Marketing dashboard. Campaign KPIs, subscriber figures and per-item tables for Journeys, Broadcasts and Audiences. See The Marketing Dashboard.

  • Campaigns. Delivery performance across all campaigns and channels.

  • Reach. How contactable your guest database is.

The Overview report

Overview is about conversations rather than campaigns. It answers how much you are talking to guests, and how fast.

  • Total conversations and Average response time across the period.

  • Messages sent by guests and Messages sent by operators, each broken down by channel across WhatsApp, Web and E-mail.

  • Guest Messages Per Channel and Operator Messages Per Channel graphs, each with a Day, Week or Month toggle.

Why this matters. Response time is the one number here a guest actually feels. The two message graphs read together also tell you whether your team is starting conversations or only answering them.

The Reach report

The Reach report

Reach shows how many of your guest profiles have contact details Bookboost can actually send to. It is filtered by the date range you selected.

The Reachability graph at the bottom shows how that has trended over time, with a Day, Week, or Month toggle and separate lines for Guests, Has phone, Has email, Has any, and Has both.

An OTA emails card splits your email addresses into OTA Emails and Other Emails, so the gap described below is a number you can actually watch over time.

Why this matters. If a large share of your guest emails come from an OTA, your ability to contact those guests directly is limited to that OTA's environment. Reach is where you see how big that gap is, and whether the data you collect at check-in is closing it.

The same four reach measures appear on a campaign's own Audience step, where you can compare your whole database against the audience you have selected. See Selecting an audience before publishing a Broadcast.

The Campaigns report

Campaigns shows the delivery performance of everything you have sent, across every channel. It has two tabs: Performance for aggregate delivery stats, and Campaigns for a per-campaign breakdown.

The Performance tab holds:

  • Total messages, Messages sent and Messages failed.

  • The same split per channel, across WhatsApp, SMS, E-mail and Messenger.

  • Messages hard bounced and Messages soft bounced.

  • The Campaign Usage graph, plotting sent against failed over time, with a Day, Week or Month toggle.

Where a channel has no data for the period you chose, that channel reads "We did not find data for the selected period" rather than zero.

Why this matters. A high hard bounce rate damages your sender reputation, which affects deliverability for every future email, not just the campaign that caused it. This is worth watching regularly if your guest database is largely OTA-sourced. See Email marketing metrics explained for what each metric counts.

Per-campaign numbers are also available without opening a report at all. The Broadcasts list carries its delivery and engagement columns inline, and the Journey board has a table view with the same kind of columns.

What this does not do

  • No single combined view. Each screen reports on its own data set. There is no one table that puts messaging, campaign, and task metrics side by side.

  • Bookboost activity only. These reports cover what happened in Bookboost. Data from your PMS or other systems is not included unless it is integrated.

  • OTA emails count as reachable. An anonymised OTA address, for example a Booking.com one, counts towards your email reachability but may not deliver reliably outside that OTA's environment. Your real reach can be lower than the number shown.

  • The date range resets. It applies for the session and clears when you navigate away, so set it again each time you open a report.

What to do next

For marketing KPIs such as open rate, CTR, and subscriber figures, see The Marketing Dashboard. For a single campaign's results, open its own report: see Broadcast reports or Journey reports.
