Required actions following moving to paper MAR

Going to paper should be the last resort in any scenario. If we are able to assist you to ensure you do not have to do this then we will.

When you start to use Atlas eMAR again, you will need to carry out a few important tasks:

Account for any missing entries on Atlas eMAR

Any medications that require a four hour gap such as paracetamol will need to be carefully reviewed.


You will need to complete a full stock take and action any stock discrepancies. This is to ensure that all stock totals are accurate.

You will need to make sure that you review any non-daily medications next due dates and times. This is also to make sure that everything is accurate.

You will need to make sure that you keep the Paper MAR in a safe and appropriate place to ensure you have accountability for the medication administered as per your homes policy.
