This sections covers the Item Entry part of Prescription Data Entry

When you first load the screen, the Item Entry popup will appear.

If this appears in front of the prescription and you wish to permanently change its start up position, follow this guide to change https://capa.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000368419-FAQ-How-do-I-change-the-popup-position-of-the-Item-Entry-screen

1. Enter the Drug Name

Search for the product by typing a few characters of the drug name. You can input the strength to narrow the search (e.g. Para 500). In addition, if the item is a dressing with a specific order number, you can type this as well.

2. Enter the Dosage as it is written

Type the dosage prescribed

If you wish to use Short codes, you can create your own dictionary by clicking the Short codes button and create them as you wish

3. Enter the Qty

Type the quantity of the prescription item. Please take note if the product pack cannot be split (e.g. Sudocrem cream), then this will be indicate with the Pack Unit to the right of the quantity input box. In this scenario, input the number of packs (e.g. 1 instead of 500 for 1 pack of 500 gram)

Common characters such as "p" and "," are not required at this stage. Do not input how you want the labels split, but instead just record the item quantity.

The label split will be addressed at the dispensing stage, and it is based on the product packs available.

4. This item is crossed out

Tick this box only if the prescriber has crossed out the item on the prescription after printing. If you tick this box, then this item will appear in a PQ (Prescription Query) check

5. Click Next

Click next to continue with entry of the items. When all items are entered you will return to the prescription view screen. Click Next or Close here to complete the entry process.
