Authentication Type - Google Authenticator

For access to resident information on Atlas Central, users are required to use a multi-factor authentication type to keep your account and information secure. The Google authenticator app is a quick and simple way to obtain the codes required to access the information you need.

To enable the Google Authenticator as your authentication type on Atlas Central follow this process;

1. Using your mobile device download the google authenticator application from your app store.

2. Log in to Atlas central, select My Profile and re-enter your login credentials once complete, select the Security tab. From the Security tab, select the option Enable Provider on the Google Authenticator column.

3. Once you have enabled the option, you will be shown the following steps; Step 1;Click to view/scan QR code.

Open the google authenticator app from your mobile device and select Scan a QR code then click Step 1 shown on Atlas Central and scan the code displayed on screen and select add account.

4. Your Atlas Central account should now be added to your google authenticator and you will be displayed with a code on your mobile device. Enter the 6 digit code displayed (without spaces) generated by the app to verify into Step 2 in Atlas Central, once entered select verify code.

5. The Google authenticator option in your profile will then be displayed as Enabled. Going forwards you will be displayed with this option in the Authentication type drop down list whenever the multi-factor authentication is required on the Atlas Central site.

6. To use the Google Authenticator as your authentication type, select the option from the drop list, then open the app on your mobile device. Enter the code displayed in the app (without spaces) in to the verification code box then select continue.
