Introduction
This article explains how the process of ordering cartons from PHOENIX works.
For high-volume lines, it's more efficient to deliver a customer's order in outer quantities rather than in singles. This streamlines the booking-in process, as only the outer carton needs to be counted, rather than each individual item.

How the System Manages Carton Orders
When ordering a product line in cartons, our internal ordering system checks whether the customer is subscribed to cartons and if the requested product line is available in cartons. All customers are automatically included in carton picking unless they choose to opt out.
If the customer orders less than the carton quantity, their order is processed in singles. If they order more than the carton quantity, their order is redirected to our carton depot in Wakefield. The system prioritises picking the customer's order in cartons first and then fulfils the remaining amount in singles.
For example:
Customer A orders 10 apples (apples come in cartons of 12). The system will supply 10 singles.
Customer B orders 24 apples. The system will supply 2 cartons.
Customer C orders 26 apples. The system will supply 2 cartons and 2 singles.
Cut-off Times:
The cut-off time for carton orders for next-day delivery is 14:00 daily. Any orders placed after 14:00 will be processed the following day.
Large cartons order
If a customer orders more than half a pallet of cartons, the system will automatically direct the order through our partner provider, Movianto. Deliveries through our partner typically take an additional few days, usually around 2 days.
Fridge Lines
At present, carton picking is exclusively available for ambient products. We're actively pursuing the expansion of our range to include fridge lines; however, this capability isn't feasible at the moment.
Opting Out:
Customers can opt out of carton picking at any time by sending an email to their account manager.
Complete Range:
The complete range of carton products is detailed in the accompanying Excel file. If you wish for PHOENIX to include a product in this list, please reach out to your account manager.
