To make it easy to send points to your friends, Yonder can cross-reference your contact list with our member database. We take your privacy very seriously and follow strict GDPR (AVG) guidelines.
1. We never see or store your full contact list
When you grant access, your phone processes the contact list locally on your device.
The Process: Your device "hashes" (scrambles) the phone numbers before they even reach our servers. We then match these scrambled codes against existing Yonder members.
Deletion: As soon as we identify which of your friends are already on Yonder, the scrambled data is immediately deleted from our system. We never see your contacts' actual names or phone numbers.
2. We will never contact your friends
Because the data we receive is anonymised, it is technically impossible for us to send messages, SMS, or marketing emails to your contacts. This feature is strictly designed to show you which of your friends are already part of the Yonder community.
3. Your data stays on your device
We do not share, sell, or trade your contact information. The actual "usable" contact details (names, addresses, and full numbers) never leave your phone.
