Written by Jamie Forbes

Huel Complete Protein is suitable for most people, but we want you to have all the information to make the right choice.

What Complete Protein is suitable for:

  • Gluten sensitivity & coeliac disease: 100% gluten-free and avenin-free (no oats) β€” safe for those with gluten intolerance or oat sensitivity

  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding: Can be included in your diet, but limit to one serving per day due to elevated vitamin and mineral content

  • Older children: Can be used as part of a varied, balanced diet (not as sole nutrition)

  • Diabetes & blood sugar management: Low glycaemic impact; consult your healthcare provider to confirm it fits your plan

Important considerations:

  • Phenylketonuria (PKU): Not suitable β€” contains phenylalanine from amino acids

  • Low-FODMAP diets: Not tested for low-FODMAP compatibility; consult a dietitian if this is essential for you

  • Children under 4 years old: Not suitable β€” formulated for older children and adults

  • Inborn errors of metabolism: Consult your clinician before using

  • Eating disorders: Only use after discussion with your doctor or registered dietitian

  • Medications: Some nutrients and amino acids may interact with prescription medications β€” check with your pharmacist or doctor

Our commitment: Complete Protein is designed to be safe and nutritionally complete for most active adults. If you have specific health concerns, allergies, or dietary restrictions, we encourage you to discuss it with a healthcare professional.
