Why is my card being declined?

If your card is being declined when trying to place or renew a Huel order, it's usually for one of these reasons:

1. Insufficient funds

  • Make sure your bank account has enough funds to cover the Huel transaction.

2. Incorrect or expired card details

  • Double-check that your card number, expiry date, and CVV are all correct.

  • If your card has expired, update your payment method in your Huel account at https://uk.huel.com/account/login.

3. Billing address mismatch

  • Ensure your billing address matches exactly the one registered with your bank or payment provider.

4. Bank security measures

  • Sometimes banks block Huel payments if they look unusual (e.g. larger amounts or recurring subscription payments).

  • Contact your bank directly to confirm and approve the Huel payment.

5. Try an alternative payment method

  • If your card continues to be declined, try adding an alternative payment method such as PayPal, Apple Pay, or Google Pay to your Huel account.
