CFD Instant Rules

Everything that applies to your CFD Instant account, in one place.

These are the rules for your CFD Instant account. Because CFD Instant has no Challenge, they all apply throughout the Earning Phase. Two breach types are used:

  • Soft Breach — the offending position is closed automatically, but your account stays active.

  • Hard Breach — the account is closed.

Exact limits depend on your account size and are shown in your Client Area.

Maximum Drawdown (Hard Breach)

A 6% trailing maximum drawdown based on your highest account balance. It trails your highest balance upward until it reaches your starting balance, then locks and stops trailing. If your balance falls to the drawdown level, the account is breached.

Example:

  • Starting balance $100,000 → initial drawdown level $94,000.

  • Balance rises to $103,000 → level trails to $97,000.

  • Balance rises to $106,000 → level reaches $100,000 (your starting balance) and locks there — it won’t trail higher even if your balance keeps rising.

Daily Drawdown (None)

CFD Instant accounts do not have a daily drawdown rule.

Max Position Loss Rule (Soft ×2, Then Hard)

Your potential loss across all open positions in the same symbol is capped at a percentage of your starting balance:

Account Size

Maximum Risk

$5,000 – $20,000

1% of starting balance

$50,000 – $100,000

0.5% of starting balance

For example, on a $10,000 account your maximum risk is $100, and on a $100,000 account it's $500.

All open positions on the same symbol are counted together as one trade.

If you've set a stop-loss, the platform uses it to calculate the potential loss; if you haven't, it uses your worst-case exposure.

The first and second violations are a Soft Breach — the position closes automatically but your account stays active.

A third violation is a Hard Breach — the account is closed.

Consistency

Consistency Rule (Blocks Payouts)

Your biggest profitable day must not exceed a set percentage of your total profit before you request a payout. The percentage depends on your account size:

Account Size

Consistency Limit

$5,000 – $20,000

30%

$50,000

25%

$100,000

20%

It does not breach the account — it simply delays payouts until you're within the limit.

How to calculate it: divide your biggest profitable day by your limit.

The result is the minimum total profit you need before requesting a payout.

Example — biggest profitable day of $900:

  • On a $10,000 account (30%): $900 ÷ 0.30 = $3,000 total profit required.

  • On a $50,000 account (25%): $900 ÷ 0.25 = $3,600 total profit required.

  • On a $100,000 account (20%): $900 ÷ 0.20 = $4,500 total profit required.

If your total profit is below the required amount, keep trading until your biggest day is within your limit.

News Trading (Allowed)

News trading is allowed on all CFD Instant account types, with no window restriction.

Maximum Accounts

Each user can have a maximum of 2 CFD Instant accounts.

Scalping (Allowed)

Allowed on CFD Prime, including trades held for under a minute.

What is not allowed is High-Frequency Trading, where the majority of your trades last only a few seconds or less.

A single trade that closes in seconds because your stop-loss or take-profit was hit won’t breach your account, but deliberately placing stops or targets extremely close to entry as a strategy is treated as prohibited HFT-style trading.

Stop-Loss & Take-Profit (Allowed)

Not mandatory on every trade, but strongly recommended.

If the majority of your trades are placed without a stop-loss, the Risk Team may reach out and require you to use them.

Expert Advisors (EAs) (Allowed, With Limits)

Allowed, provided they don’t copy signals that aren’t yours, scalp against the rules, run latency/reverse/hedge/arbitrage or HFT, use emulators.

VPS (Allowed)

You may use a VPS to run your Expert Advisor.

Hedging (Allowed, With Limits)

Allowed within the same account for risk management (no hedging arbitrage).

Hedging across two accounts — a BUY on one and a SELL on the other, including on correlated assets — is prohibited.

Copy Trading (Allowed, With Limits.)

Shared or mirrored trading between different people, or copying signals from an account that isn’t yours, is treated as a breach.

Prohibited practices

Gap Trading (Prohibited)

Do not open trades within 2 hours of a market close when it will stay closed for 2 or more hours, or ahead of major news, earnings or events likely to cause a price gap.

This may result in account termination without compensation.

Grid Strategies (Prohibited)

Not allowed.

A grid strategy involves placing multiple buy and/or sell orders at predetermined price intervals, creating a series or “grid” of positions around a price level.

This includes systematically adding multiple positions as the market moves up or down to profit from price fluctuations rather than using independent trade setups.

Martingale Strategies (Prohibited)

Not allowed.

A martingale strategy involves increasing the position size after a losing trade or series of losing trades, with the aim of recovering previous losses and generating a profit from a subsequent winning trade. This includes systematically increasing exposure as losses accumulate.

Report to show the affiliate and then to drill down to see which clients/emails they refer and they are active now. If possible also to show the payout/purchases ratio for each client.

High-Frequency Trading (HFT) (Prohibited)

Not allowed on any account: executing multiple trades per second, dozens of trades within a minute, rapid-fire entries and exits, or any attempt to exploit speed, latency or feed delays.

Violations result in account termination

Gambling (Prohibited)

Excessive risk-taking is prohibited — overleveraging, overexposure to one asset, one-sided bets without analysis, and hyperactive impulsive trading.

Violations can lead to restricted trading privileges, revoked rewards, reduced leverage or account termination.

See our full Gambling Policy for the details.

Trading Device, IP & Network (Prohibited)

An IP that changes every few days (e.g. while travelling) is fine.

An IP that changes several times within the same day can raise suspicion of account sharing, which is forbidden.

See our Trading Device, IP & Network Policy for the full rules on devices, IPs and shared access.
