Gambling Policy

How we define excessive risk-taking, and the responsible-trading practices we expect. Applies to all The Trading Pit products.

At The Trading Pit, we are committed to promoting safe and responsible trading. This Gambling Policy sets out the practices we treat as excessive risk-taking, and is written to be clear and accessible to all traders. Its purpose is to establish responsible trading practices and discourage actions that resemble gambling.

We caution traders against chasing fast earnings — such actions are risky. We encourage a focus on gradual, consistent trading that protects both the trader and the stability of the company. “Gambling” is the term we use for actions that violate this policy; every trader is expected to take a disciplined, well-calculated approach and steer clear of overly risky behaviour.

Forbidden Gambling Practices

Overleveraging — excessive leverage is restricted. Use stop-loss orders and appropriate trade sizes to control and limit potential losses.

Overexposure — don’t over-concentrate on specific assets or markets. A diversified approach is essential for mitigating risk.

One-Sided Bets — avoid trading predominantly in one direction without proper market analysis. Every decision should be informed and supported by research.

Hyperactivity — avoid placing too many trades in a short time or acting impulsively. Focus on well-thought-out trades that fit your plan and risk tolerance.

Risk-Management We Expect

Maximum Risk Allocation — avoid committing a large share of your balance or equity to open positions. Balanced allocation is key to managing risk.

Position Sizing — size each trade with market conditions, your risk appetite and pre-set stop-losses in mind, so activity stays within manageable risk.

Diversification — spread across different assets, strategies and timeframes to mitigate risk.

Regular Review and Adjustment — review and adjust your positions and strategies as market conditions, economic indicators and news change.

Education and Awareness — keep learning about market trends, new strategies and risk-management techniques to support informed decisions.

Monitoring & Consequences

We actively monitor all trading activity for adherence to this policy. Violations can lead to restricted trading privileges, the revocation of any rewards generated through the violation, reduced leverage or, in severe cases, account termination.
