Use Klaviyo suppression feature but keep all your profiles in Klaviyo!

Data between Shopify and Klaviyo is synchronized through multiple channels:

  1. Klaviyo offers a synchronisation tool which is very important to understand - How to sync data from Klaviyo to Shopify

  2. QuanticFlow and QuanticTrack automatically create some profiles

When does Quantic create new Profiles on Klaviyo?

By default, each time a Customer is created on Shopify, Quantic sends in realtime an event to Klaviyo to notify it about the contact creation.
Most of the time, you want to be able to talk to your prospects and customers!

Moreover, each day, people expressing interest in your brand are detected by Quantic and get a score between 11 and 71. This score is sent as an event each morning to Klaviyo.

When Klaviyo receives an Event, if it does not know the email address linked to the event, it automatically creates a Profil.

How to not synchronize some profiles from Shopify to Klaviyo?

We advise to import all profiles to Klaviyo.

But to escape billing issues (and messaging issues), add these profiles to a specific list and suppress them. Suppression will keep the profiles in Klaviyo but make them un-contactable: How to manage email suppressions and delete profiles in bulk

You may also directly import suppressed contacts through "Profiles -> Display suppressed profiles โ†’ Import"
