Batch Process in Agisoft Metashape
Batch Process in Agisoft Metashape

This describes how to export data in Agisoft Metashape for use in SkyMap Portal.

Updated over a week ago

Follow these steps to export imagery, orthophotos, and point clouds to SkyMap Portal:

  1. Download the files required for Batch Process by clicking here. The shared folder contains files for batch jobs and a script file for imagery. You need to edit the script file for the imagery so that a valid path is available for the export. It is also important to set the correct coordinate system for the different exports.

  2. Open Agisoft Metashape. (It is recommended to use version 1.7.3 of Metashape to perform the export. Download the version here.)

  3. Go to Workflow.

  4. Select Batch Process...

  5. In the Batch Process dialog, click the Load icon.

  6. Select the XML file on your computer that contains the batch jobs and click Open.

  7. The Batch Process dialog now has 7 jobs to perform. For jobs 3 and 6, you need to click Edit.. to change the Path, i.e., the path to where the file will be saved.

  8. For job 7, you need to click Edit... to change the Path, i.e., the path to the script file for generating the imagery. Note that you must adjust the script file so a valid path is available to where the file will be saved.

  9. Complete by clicking OK.

  10. Upload the files from the batch export to SkyMap Portal on the Cloud Processing page under Imagery, Orthophoto, and Point Cloud.

  11. After the upload and processing are complete, you will be notified by email. Then, go to the project in SkyMap Portal and Timeline. There, create a new timeline and link Imagery, Orthophoto, and Point Cloud.

  12. Go to SkyView to check the new timeline.
