Display Cut and Fill Map
Display Cut and Fill Map

Here, it is described how you can display a cut and fill map to get an overview of the excavation and fill amounts in different areas.

Updated over a week ago

Follow these steps to display a cut and fill map from a volume calculation:

  1. For each volume calculation with the grid calculation method and calculated from an area, design, or CAD file, you can display a cut and fill map. Select the object in the object list that has a volume calculation you want to see a cut and fill map for and make it visible in the scene.

  2. Choose the calculation you are interested in under VOLUME CALCULATIONS.

  3. Click on Show Cut and Fill Map.

  4. In the scene, a map of the volume calculation is displayed with an associated color and height scale to easily distinguish sections in the volume. Here, you can also see how many meters differ between different surfaces or to the ground at a specific point.

  5. In the information panel on the right, you see the scale used and the plan area for each interval.

  6. Hover the mouse pointer over a point on the map to see the difference in height against the calculated surface. Here, you also see the point's Meters above sea level for both surfaces that have been calculated.

  7. To change the height interval used, enter your own interval under INTERVAL and click on the pencil. To reset the interval, click on the cross.
