Where do I put my Indoor Camera?

We recommend popping your Indoor Camera in a place you’d like to keep an eye and ear on. For example, pointing towards the inside of your front door, or direct access points such as ground floor windows or back doors.

You can pop it on a shelf or mount it on the wall if that works better, using the adhesive metal disc provided. The magnetic camera base locks on to this.

Remember, your camera needs to be plugged into the mains using the supplied cable and plug. You must attach your Bridge for your sensors to work and the camera must be in range of Wi-Fi and your sensors, so they can stay connected.

Troubleshooting

What do the lights on my Indoor Camera mean?

  • Flashing yellow light – Powered on and ready to connect to the internet.

  • Solid yellow light – Connecting to the internet.

  • Solid blue light – Powered on and connected to the internet.

Why won’t my Indoor Camera connect to the internet?

  • First, check your Indoor camera is plugged in firmly. You’ll see a flashing yellow light when it’s powered on.

  • Make sure you haven’t left the Wi-Fi name or password fields blank when prompted to enter them during setup. Your Sky Protect devices need to be connected to a secure, private network with a password.

Important: When entering your Wi-Fi network name and password, please be sure to use a 2.4GHz network. Your Indoor Camera is not compatible with 5GHz networks.

If you’re getting a ‘Local network error’ or ‘Specified network error message’ take a look at our troubleshooting help article here.
