The forced start procedure is used when the vehicle’s battery is deeply discharged.
In this case, the KapSAM does not detect the polarity and does not allow operation.
Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Connect the KapSAM clamps to the vehicle to be jump-started:

    • Connect the KapSAM clamps to the vehicle, ensuring correct polarity.

    • The vehicle ignition must not be switched on.

  2. Press ON and TEST buttons simultaneously:

    • Press the ON button and the TEST button simultaneously for 3 seconds.

    • During this operation, all three charge status indicators light up simultaneously.

  3. Power-on indicator:

    • The power-on indicator lights up.

  4. Start the vehicle:

    • Start the vehicle to be jump-started.

  5. After stopping the KapSAM:

    • Disconnect the KapSAM clamps from the vehicle.

    • Roll up the cables and store the clamps in the designated space.

Additional precautions

  • Never attempt a start for more than 15 seconds:
If the vehicle does not start after 2 attempts, it means you are facing an issue other than a discharged battery.
Identify the real cause of the failure before making another attempt.

  • Do not forget to check the KapSAM charge status:
After using the KapSAM in forced start mode, it is recommended to check the device’s charge level and recharge it if necessary.

By following these steps, you should be able to start a vehicle with a deeply discharged battery using the KapSAM in forced start mode.
