Allowing the app to update in the background 📱

The Check-In app releases improvements and updates on a regular basis (a couple of times a month). If a bug occurs, a fix will sometimes only go live at the next app version update. Therefore, we highly recommend adjusting your settings so that the app updates automatically in the background. This way, you never have to worry whether or not you have the right app version, ever again!

How to enable background updates on iPhone/iPad devices:

Go to your iPad or iPhones home screen, and touch the Settings icon.

From here, scroll down till you see the Check-In app, and click on it.

Toggle the switch next to Background App Refresh to enable background updates.

How to enable background updates on Android devices:

Go to your home screen, and swipe down the notification bar for Settings.

Tap the gear symbol ⚙️ in the top right-hand corner.

In Settings, tap Connections, and then tap Data Usage.

Select the Check-In app from the list of apps, below the usage graph.

Tap Allow background data usage to turn it on.

Checking the operative system of your device 🤓

A mobile operating system (OS) is software that allows smartphones and other devices to run applications and programs. If you're having issues using the SameSystem app, it could be that the OS is too old to function with the app. Below follows the minimum OS requirements for iOS and Android, as well as a guide on how you can check what OS your own mobile device has.

The iOS Check-In app requires an OS of minimum version <code>12.0</code>

Go to your iPad or iPhone's home screen, and touch the Settings icon.

Next, tap About. You'll see all of the information about your device, including the version of your iOS device.
