If your computer is not recognized, follow these steps to re-register it:
Navigate to Settings > Department Settings > Time Registration.
Click on Suggest new registration or Register this computer.
Confirm the prompt and click Save.
If prompted that time registration is locked to another computer, select Yes to overwrite. This will not remove access from other computers in the same department.
After re-registering the computer, an email will be sent to your head office or administrator for approval. Once the registration is approved, you will be able to use the computer for time tracking. If the status is "No," you must wait for approval before proceeding.
Verify the IP Address:
Check the current IP address of the computer.
Confirm that it matches the approved IP range for your department.
If the IP address is outside the approved range, contact your IT department to resolve the issue.
Ensure a Stable Internet Connection:
A stable internet connection is crucial during the registration process. Frequent IP address changes due to an unstable connection can prevent proper time registration.______5. View Allowed IP Ranges in SameSystem:
Navigate to General Settings within the Schedule section to view the allowed IP range for clock-in.
Note that access to this overview may depend on your permissions. Consult your administrator if you cannot access this information.
If you can register the computer directly, you will get a button that says “Register this computer”. Click on it, and everything is ready after that 🙌 (locked IP must be selected under “type of time registration”):
If the registration is to be sent to the administrator for approval first, the button will say “Suggest registering this computer”. Click on it, and it will be sent to the administrator for approval.
As you can see to the right, it shows both the date and time a registration was last sent, and if it has been approved (confirmed) or not yet.
The approval is sent to the administrator. When it is approved, it will work to check in. 🙌
