How to modify the deadline of the notice

You can change the bid deadline in a published tender by clicking Editing on the tender dashboard.

For national tenders (below the EU threshold):

Click Edit deadline

Fill in the new deadline and a reason for the change.

Click the Edit deadline button below the reason field to make the change.

With a change to the tender deadline, it is necessary to publish an amendment notice. For EU tenders, it usually takes 48 hours before the amendment notice is published on TED.

New offer deadline

  • Click Edit in the menu on the left.

  • Click the Edit information button in the message

  • Type or edit the message in the text box. The message is what will be sent to the registered suppliers.

  • Click the Send Message button and enter proofreading mode

  • A pop-up message will appear: Are you sure you want to send the message, delete all received bids, and move to correction mode? . Click Yes

  • The tender is now editable. Insert the desired tender deadline under the Basic Procurement Information tab. Click Save at the bottom of the page.

If you choose a deadline that is earlier than the original deadline, check that the remaining time before the deadline is enough to comply with the requirements of the applicable legislation in the area.

  • Click on the Mercell Forms tab to create the change notice for TED

  • Click the Edit Mercell Forms Information button to open the announcement.

  • Complete the change notice and validate it. Once validated, close the tab and return to the Mercell Tendering portal.

  • Click the Preview and Publish tab and click Publish to publish the change. The tender will only become active and available to suppliers on the Supplier Portal once the announcement is published on TED.

  • All bidders who have submitted bids must make new bids and resubmit them after a change to the tender.

Reason for change

  • Enter the reason why you are changing the deadline.
