Creating a New Tender by Copying a Previous Tender

Important: Procedure Type limitations Please note that in the initial release of the simplified tendering workflow only the Open procedure is supported. If your procurement requires a different procedure type (such as a negotiated procedure, restricted procedure, qualification system, or DPS), you must still proceed through the classic creation path.

If you have conducted a similar procurement in the past, you can save time and effort by duplicating an existing tender instead of starting entirely from scratch. This setup method carries over the data from your historical tender, streamlining your creation process.

Here are the steps to initiate your tender using this method:

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Enter Details: As with the other setup methods, begin by providing a name for your new tender in the designated field. You can also add an optional description.

  2. Select Setup Method: Under the setup methods section, choose the Copy previous tender option.

  3. Locate the Previous Tender: Finding the tender you wish to duplicate works very similarly to the template search process. You can locate the correct historical tender by:

    • Using the search function to look up the past tender.

    • Filtering the list by specific procedures or estimated values.

    • Utilizing other available filters, such as the notice subtype, to narrow down your results.

  4. Apply and Continue: Once you have found and selected the desired previous tender, confirm your choice to proceed.

What Happens Next?

Similar to using an organization template, the system will use the data from the selected previous tender to pre-fill your new tender workspace. You will then be directed to the editing view where you can update any specific details, documents, and dates for your new procurement process before selecting your final notice type in the Mercell Forms section.
