Immediately call the emergency number posted inside the lift cabin (usually via the emergency button or intercom).
Stay calm and remain inside the lift; the emergency service can speak to you via the intercom.
Do not
Try to open or reset the lift yourself.
Use tools or force the doors open. This can be dangerous and cause further damage.
