How does PayPoint work? (Sending Vouchers)

Updated over 2 months ago
  1. Firstly, you'll need to decide whether you'll be issuing a PayPoint Cash or Energy voucher.

Please note: Not all energy providers partner with PayPoint, so please check with recipient before issuing. Click here to view a list of their current partners. If their provider is not on the list, you may want to consider issuing a cash voucher instead.

  2. Once purchased, please issue the Huggg link using your chosen sending method.

  3. The recipient will need to click on their Huggg link to claim their voucher.

  4. To redeem their PayPoint voucher, the recipient will need to head to a PayPoint location and present the voucher to the cashier. To find a local branch, they can use this locator.

The recipient will need to ensure:

      • Their voucher is ready to be shown to the cashier (on smart phone/device or printed)

      • They have their gas card, electricity key or Smart Meter card with them, if they have an energy voucher.

      • They have identification (if the voucher states that this is necessary). Acceptable identification would include a driving licence, bank statement, council tax bill, or any utility bill.

  5. Once the recipient presents their voucher to the store assistant, the barcode will be scanned (or manually processed). They'll then be provided with the cash or their energy key/card will be topped up to the value of the voucher - in line with the instructions printed on the receipt.

Please note: This voucher will expire on the date shown and can only be used once.

If the recipient experiences any issues with their voucher, please ask them to contact us at support@huggg.me.
