You can top up your Huggg account by card or by bank transfer. Card payments arrive instantly. Bank transfers can take up to five working days.
💷 How to top up
Top up from the '£' section of your account:
In the left-hand menu, select the '£' section.
Scroll down to 'Top up account'. Choose 'By card' or 'By bank transfer' and enter your details.
As soon as we receive your payment, we top up your account. Your top-ups appear under 'Top up history', and your new balance shows at the top of the page.
📅 Bank transfer timings
If you pay by bank transfer, how long it takes depends on the transfer type:
CHAPS transfers arrive within 24 hours.
BACS transfers take 3 to 5 working days.
Always include your HG reference number when you make a bank transfer, so we can match it to your account. See Where do I find the HG reference?
