Is this your first cleaning appointment?

Find out how everything works, what to keep in mind, and how to make the most of your first cleaning – for a smooth experience and a sparkling home.

Share Important Information with Your Service Provider in Advance:

  • Address and directions to the entrance (if necessary)

    • If your home is hard to access, please provide clear instructions to your cleaner, such as landmarks, whether it’s a backyard, etc.

  • Doorbell name

    • Make sure your cleaner is aware of any special details.

Pets:

Do you have pets? Let your cleaner know in advance so they can plan accordingly and provide the best service.

Typical Tasks of a Household Cleaning:

Depending on the service provider and individual agreement, the following tasks may be part of the household cleaning:

General Areas (Living Room, Bedroom, Hallway):

  • Dusting easily accessible surfaces

  • Vacuuming and/or mopping floors

  • Waste disposal

Kitchen:

  • Wiping down countertops and visible kitchen appliances

  • Cleaning the sink

  • Surface cleaning of the stove and dining table

Bathroom:

  • Cleaning the sink, mirror, and fixtures

  • Wiping surfaces and shelves

  • Cleaning the toilet from the outside

Discuss Your Preferences in Advance to Ensure Everything Goes as You Expect:

  • Which rooms or areas should be cleaned?

  • Are there specific areas that require extra attention?

  • Which tasks are optional in case time is tight?

  • Any special instructions for waste separation?

If you didn't provide any cleaning instructions during the booking process, here's how you can easily share your personal preferences with your service provider. Alternatively, you can use the messaging feature to communicate any special requests directly.

Preparation of Cleaning Supplies:

Your service provider will use the cleaning supplies you provide, tailored to the surfaces and rooms in your home. Please have them ready in advance to ensure your preferred products are used.

Cleaning agents

  • WC cleaner

  • All-purpose detergent

  • Glass cleaner

  • Grease-dissolving cleaning agent (commercially available washing-up liquid)

Cleaning equipment

  • Mop & bucket

  • Broom

  • Hand brush

  • Vacuum cleaner

Cleaning cloths

  • 4 microfiber cloths

  • Sponges (non-scratch)

  • Duster or dust cloths of your choice

If you are unsure which materials are needed for the cleaning you require, it is best to use the message feature in your profile to coordinate with your cleaner in advance.

Do I need to be at home during the cleaning?

Whether you stay at home during the cleaning is entirely up to you – there are no set rules. However, for the first cleaning, we recommend being present. This way, your service provider can familiarize themselves with the space and address any questions directly.

Tip: A quick joint check at the end of the cleaning helps ensure that everything has been done to your satisfaction.

Factors That Can Affect the Duration of the Cleaning:

The time required to clean your home may vary depending on:

  • When your home was last cleaned.

  • Whether tidying up is needed before the cleaning.

  • The number of surfaces to be cleaned.

  • The size of your home and the type of surfaces (e.g., hardwood floors, tiles).

  • The condition and quality of the cleaning equipment and supplies: Please ensure, for example, that your vacuum is charged and working properly, and that your preferred cleaning products are available.

  • How thorough the cleaning needs to be.
