Will I receive an invoice?

Yes, you will receive an invoice after each completed and service provider-confirmed appointment via Helpling. The invoice is not issued immediately after booking, but rather after the appointment is completed and confirmed by the service provider. Once the invoice is available, you will receive an email notification.

🔔 Important: The invoice itself is not included in the email, but will be made available only in your customer account. You can view and download it there at any time.

Where can I find my invoice?

Your invoice is automatically added to your customer account as soon as the service provider issues it.

  • Desktop version: Click on “Invoices” in the top tab.

  • Helpling App: Tap “More”, then select “Invoices”.

There you can view your invoice as a PDF, download it, or access it again at any time.

What information does the invoice contain?

Each invoice contains the following details:

  • Invoice date

  • Invoice number

  • Your name and billing address (from your customer account)

  • Invoice recipient

  • Invoice issuer (service provider)

  • Service booked (e.g., "Room cleaning")

  • Duration of the appointment

  • Order number (e.g., DE-XXXX)

  • Service date

  • Hourly rate

  • Voucher value (if applied)

  • Total invoice amount

  • Note whether the service provider is a small business owner

👉 Note: The invoice is always issued with the name and address provided in your customer account. Click here to learn how to update your billing address for future appointments.

Please note: It’s not possible to add individual descriptions (e.g., “ironing” or “window cleaning”) to the invoice. The service listed will always reflect the one booked through Helpling (e.g., “Room cleaning”).

🧑‍🔧 Who issues the invoice?

The invoice is issued by the service provider (cleaner), as they are the actual issuer of the invoice. Helpling provides the tools and templates to help service providers create professional and accurate invoices. Helpling delivers the invoice to you, but it is always issued by the service provider and includes their name and details as the invoice issuer.

How is the invoice paid?

The invoice amount is due on the invoice date and will be automatically charged via the payment method you selected at booking. Payment is processed via our payment provider Stripe and goes directly to the service provider.

🚫 Cash payments or transfers to Helpling or to the service provider are not possible.

The order number (e.g., "DE-XXXX") on the invoice helps you associate the invoice with a specific charge. You’ll also find this number in the payment reference on your bank statement.
