Liability Insurance

Learn how our liability insurance works and when it applies.

We want every cleaning appointment to go smoothly. In the unlikely event that something is damaged during a cleaning, Helpling's liability insurance may help cover the costs, depending on the circumstances of the claim.

This article explains what is covered and what happens if damage occurs.

🛡️ What does the liability insurance cover?

Helpling maintains liability insurance with coverage of up to €5,000,000.

The insurance covers damage caused by a service provider to a customer's property during a household cleaning.

Claims of €500 or more are reported by Helpling to the insurance company for review.

✅ Is there a deductible?

Yes.

  • Damage under €500 is not covered by the insurance.

  • For claims over €500, the first €500 is treated as a deductible.

The deductible must be settled by the service provider or through their own insurance.

If applicable, you can also contact your service provider directly to discuss compensation.

You'll find their contact details on the invoice for the relevant cleaning appointment.
