If you have a spreadsheet listing all the seeds you have in stock, it can be imported into the Seed Inventory to keep all your garden's data in one place.
First, you'll need to save your spreadsheet as a CSV file.
To get started, click on the Import button at the top of the Seed Inventory:
The Seed Inventory requires the following 7 fields:
Plant type, Variety name, Supplier name, Quantity in a full packet, Current quantity in the packet, Expiry date, and Comments. Download the CSV template to ensure your data is in the correct format.
Copy the data from your spreadsheet and paste it into the template, then save it on your device as a CSV file:
When your data is ready to import, click on Choose a File, or drag the file from your device into the box:
Specify if the first row of your data contains column headers, by checking or unchecking the box:
Your data will then appear in a table. It has not been imported at this point.
Scroll down and click Next:
Choose which columns you wish to import. If you used the template, the columns should automatically be chosen for you:
Click Next when finished.
In the next stage, any incorrect data will be highlighted in red. This could be missing data, dates in the wrong format or plants that the Garden Planner doesn't recognize.
Make any changes needed.
To make it easier to find data that needs to be amended, you can opt to show only the rows that contain errors. Click (Update) to reduce the list as you correct the errors:
Click the import button when all the errors and omissions have been amended:
Finally, click the Add button.
