Open the Seed Inventory in the left hand toolbar in the Garden Planner.
Click on the Add Packets button at the top right of the page.
Choose whether to add a new packet or one you have added previously:
Adding a new seed packet type
Click on the New Type tab, then add details from the seed packet:
Plant: Choose from an extensive list of plants that can be found in the Garden Planner.
Variety: Select from one of the many built-in varieties. Any new varieties you have added in the Garden Planner will also be available in the Seed Inventory.
Supplier: Adding a supplier is optional, but can help you keep track of where you bought your seeds from. Choose from built-in seed suppliers, or add your own.
Type: Choose from various options depending on the plant you've chosen, such as seed, plants, or transplants.
Seed quantity: Add the number of seeds per packet or plants you have in stock.
Notes: Type any information you want to record about the variety.
Expiry Date: If known, add the expiry date of the seeds
Remaining Quantity: Use the slider or number spinner to add the number of seeds remaining in the packet, if opened.
Click Save when finished.
Adding an unlisted plant seed packet
When plants are not available in the Garden Planner, they don't appear in the Seed Inventory either.
In the Garden Planner, we advise adding unlisted plants as varieties of a similar plant, or as a variety of a generic plant (herb, flower, fruit tree) and this can be done in the Seed Inventory too.
Adding more packets of the same variety
Click on Add Packet at the top right of the Garden Planner, then click on the Existing Type tab.
Choose your packet from the drop down list.
If known, set the expiration date and the quantity of seeds remaining in the packet.
Click Save when finished.
