How to make the planning grid bigger or smaller

Change the dimensions of your plan

First click on the Settings button in your plan's toolbar (the cog icon).

Type the new dimensions of your plan in the boxes provided.

As you adjust the size of your plan, the changes will be indicated on the diagram on the right.

Red areas indicate space removed from your plan. Green areas indicate extra space added to your plan.

The default setting is to add, or remove parts of the plan to/from the right hand side and the bottom of the plan. To change this to other directions, check the Show Advanced Options and choose an anchor point:

The anchor is the point on your plan that doesn't move and the expanded or reduce part will be on the opposite side of your plan.

If this plan is a Follow-On Plan, ie it has plans in its history, you have the option of applying the changes to the historical plans.

A warning will be displayed explaining it is not possible to undo these settings after saving:

Scroll down and click on Save Plan Settings.

Positioning groups of items on your resized plan

If you need to move items on your plan to a new location within the resized plan, you can do so using the Selection tool in the following way:

Click on the Selection Tool button and click on your plan at a corner of the area you want to move.

Drag the Selection Tool out to include all of the items that you want to move.

To move the selection, left click on the selected area and drag to pull it to its new location.
