How to make the planning grid bigger or smaller

Change the dimensions of your plan

First click on the Settings button (the cog icon) in your plan's toolbar.

Type the new dimensions of your plan in the boxes provided.

Change where to add or remove space on your plan

As you adjust the size of your plan, the changes will be indicated on the diagram on the right. Red areas indicate space removed from your plan, and green areas indicate extra space added to your plan.

By default, parts of the plan will be added to or removed from the right hand side and the bottom of the plan. To change this, check the Show Advanced Options box and click on the grid to choose an anchor point. The anchor indicates where your plan is on the grid in relation to the area you want to add or remove.

Rotate your plan

You can also rotate your plan by clicking on the drop-down Rotation menu and choosing either 180 degrees, 90 degrees clockwise, or 90 degrees counter-clockwise.

Changing the size and rotation of older linked plans

If this plan is a Follow-On Plan (it has older linked plans in its history), you have the option of applying the changes to the historical plans too.

Scroll down and click on Save Plan Settings.

Positioning groups of items on your resized plan

If you need to move items on your plan to a new location within the resized plan, you can do so using the Selection tool in the following way:

Click on the Selection Tool button and click on your plan at a corner of the area you want to move.

Drag the Selection Tool out to include all of the items that you want to move.

To move the selection, left click on the selected area and drag to pull it to its new location.
