The blue bars in your Plant List show the recommended dates for sowing seeds indoors in your area. The green bars indicate the recommended times for both sowing outdoors, and transplanting indoor-sown seedlings outdoors.

Some plants such as carrots or potatoes are best sown or planted directly outdoors. No blue 'sow indoors' bars will be displayed for these plants.
