Control how users can submit reports by choosing whether reporting is anonymous, confidential, or selectable. This helps you define how much identity information is required when a report is submitted.
Anonymity settings
Go to Reporting channels
Select your reporting channel
Open the Settings tab
Scroll to Anonymity settings
Under Hide and preselect the following choice of anonymity, choose your preferred option
File and metadata settings
Allow file upload
You can allow users to include files as part of their report by enabling Allow file upload. Enable this if you want users to attach files or voice recordings.
💡 If this is disabled, users will not be able to submit oral reports.
Remove metadata
Control whether metadata is removed from uploaded files. When metadata is removed, files are only processed and not stored on our servers. We recommend enabling this for better privacy.
The options in the dropdown menu are:
Always: Metadata is automatically removed
Let the whistleblower decide: Users choose whether to remove metadata
Never: Metadata is kept
Oral reporting settings
You can allow users to submit reports using voice recordings by enabling Allow whistleblower to submit an oral report. Enable this to allow users to record and submit a report instead of writing it.
You can also control whether voice recordings are altered to protect identity by enabling Distort voice on orally reported cases. The options in the dropdown menu are:
Always: Voice is automatically distorted
Let the whistleblower decide: Users choose
Never: Voice is not altered
💡If Allow file upload is not enabled then the user will not be able to submit oral reports.
