Activating the E-Mobility Add-On and Adding Charging Stations to Your Library

Learn how Administrators activate the E-Mobility Add-On and set up the first charging station in the component library.

Overview: The E-Mobility Add-On

The E-Mobility Add-On extends the Eturnity Solar Expert by adding the ability to integrate charging stations and wallboxes into your project proposals. This enables you and your solar professionals to model realistic scenarios with electric vehicles and accurately calculate the impact on self-consumption and the profitability of the photovoltaic system.

License Note: The E-Mobility Add-On is a paid add-on in your Eturnity license. If you have not yet activated this feature, please contact your customer success manager or contact support@eturnity.com.

Step 1: Activate the E-Mobility Add-On

To use the E-Mobility Add-On, it must first be activated in your Eturnity account.

  1. Contact your customer success manager or directly support@eturnity.com

  2. Request to activate the E-Mobility Add-On

  3. After activation by our support team, you can immediately start creating your component library

Note: The add-on is activated at the account level and will then be available for all project variants in your account.

Step 2: Add Charging Stations to Your Library

After activating the add-on, you can add charging stations and wallboxes to your component library. These will then be available for selection in your projects.

  1. Click on Library in the main menu

  2. Select the Components tab

  3. You will now see various component categories. Look for the "E-mobility" category (alongside Photovoltaics, Battery storage, Inverter, etc.)

  4. Add a new charging station as a component. You can add components manually or import them via your supplier's import function

  5. Enter the relevant information for your charging station:

    • Brand name: e.g. "Wallbox 11 kW AC"

    • Manufacturer: e.g. "ABB, Siemens, Phoenix Contact"

    • Charging power (kW): e.g. 3.7, 11, 22 or 50 kW

    • Price: Cost price for your calculation

  6. Save the component

Tip: Charging stations are treated as a standalone main component category, just like panels, battery storage or inverters. If you don't see the E-mobility category, the add-on is not yet included in your license.

Step 3: Activate E-Mobility in Project Templates (Optional)

If you want the E-mobility feature to be available by default in certain project templates, you need to create new project templates with the E-mobility technology activated.

  1. Click on Library in the main menu and select the Project template tab

  2. Create a new project template

  3. Configure your new project template as usual

  4. When selecting technologies, activate the toggle next to "E-mobility"

  5. Save the project template

Important: It is not possible to change the technologies in existing project templates. You must create a new template if you want to add E-mobility.

  • Configure charging stations in the load profile calculation

  • Include the automatic EV charging curve in your PV simulation calculations
