Activating the E-Mobility Add-On and Adding Charging Stations to Your Library

Learn how Administrators activate the E-Mobility Add-On and set up the first charging station in the component library.

Overview: The E-Mobility Add-On

The E-Mobility Add-On extends the Eturnity Solar Expert by adding the ability to integrate charging stations and wallboxes into your project proposals. The charging stations are a cost item in the offer. You model the vehicles' charging consumption with charging setups on the Consumption profile page; they are a separate part of the licence, and only they affect self-consumption and the simulation.

Licence note: The E-Mobility Add-On is a paid add-on in your Eturnity licence. If you have not yet activated this feature, please contact your customer success manager, support@eturnity.com or our support team in the chat.

Step 1: Activate the E-Mobility Add-On

To use the E-Mobility Add-On, it must first be activated in your Eturnity account.

  1. Contact your customer success manager, support@eturnity.com directly or our support team in the chat

  2. Request to activate the E-Mobility Add-On

  3. After activation by our support team, you can immediately start creating your component library

Note: The add-on is enabled for your company and is then available in all projects. In a variant, you switch E-mobility on via the Variants page in the Active technologies column.

Step 2: Add Charging Stations to Your Library

After activating the add-on, you can add charging stations and wallboxes to your component library. These will then be available for selection in your projects.

  1. Click on Library in the main menu

  2. Select the Components tab

  3. You will now see the components in your library. You can recognise charging stations by the Charging station entry in the Component type column

  4. Click Add from component database, search Eturnity's component database for the charging station (component type Charging station), tick it and click Add components. If your charging station is not there, write to support@eturnity.com or to our support team in the chat and have the datasheet to hand

  5. Eturnity takes the name, manufacturer and technical data from the database. New components start with a price of 0: then enter the Cost price in the library before you use the charging station in projects

  6. Save the component

Tip: In the library, charging stations are a component type of their own, just like panels, battery storage or inverters.

Step 3: Activate E-Mobility in Project Templates (Optional)

If you want the E-mobility feature to be available by default in certain project templates, you need to create new project templates with the E-mobility technology activated.

  1. Click on Library in the main menu and select the Project template tab

  2. Create a new project template

  3. Configure your new project template as usual

  4. When selecting technologies, activate the toggle next to "E-mobility"

  5. Save the project template

Important: It is not possible to change the technologies in existing project templates. You must create a new template if you want to add E-mobility.
