User Management
Connecting Individual Users
Each Eturnity user must be connected to an EF Solar user account. You can connect the same EF Solar user to multiple Eturnity users if needed.
Multi-Company EF Solar Users
If your EF Solar user is associated with multiple companies, Eturnity will display an additional popup window allowing you to select the correct company for data transfer.
Billing and Costs
Cost Structure
Yes, there are costs associated with EF Solar integration. Each project created in ElektroForm Solar incurs charges. When you transfer data from Eturnity to EF Solar, a new project is created in your EF Solar account and billed accordingly.
Billing Options
You have three billing options to choose from:
Direct EF Solar Billing (Brunner Informatik) at regular rates:
Requires purchasing the EF Solar license package directly in your EF Solar account
If your credit is exhausted, new project transfers to EF Solar via Eturnity Expert will be blocked
Eturnity Billing at a discounted price
Hybrid Billing (Brunner Informatik then Eturnity):
First uses credit from your existing EF Solar license package
Automatically switches to Eturnity billing at reduced rates once your existing credit is exhausted
Changing Billing Options
Your administrator can select the billing option when first establishing the connection between your Eturnity account and EF Solar. After the initial setup, billing options cannot be changed. If you need to modify billing options, please contact Eturnity support.
Data Transfer Process
Transfer Limitations
Currently, you can only perform data transfer once per project, regardless of how many variants you have created within that project. Each data transfer creates a new project in EF Solar, which is then billed.
Best Practices
We recommend completing your project in Eturnity Expert entirely before performing the data transfer to EF Solar. This ensures all project data is accurate and complete.
Handling Incomplete Transfers
If you accidentally transfer an incomplete project to EF Solar:
Copy the project in the Eturnity project overview
Complete the project in the copied version
Perform the data transfer again
⚠️ Important: This process creates a new project in EF Solar, which will be billed separately!
Troubleshooting
Connection Issues
If you've established the connection to EF Solar but it's not working for your Eturnity user:
Ensure each Eturnity user is connected to an EF Solar user account
Verify that the EF Solar user has proper permissions
Check that the connection was established by an administrator
Required Fields Before Transfer
Before transferring data to EF Solar, ensure the following required fields are completed:
Building Address: The complete building address must be filled out
EGID: The EGID (Eidgenössische Gebäude- und Wohnungsidentifikator) must be entered
⚠️ Important: Data transfer will fail if the building address is incomplete or the EGID is missing. Complete these fields before attempting to transfer project data to EF Solar.
Multi-Company User Issues
If your EF Solar user is associated with multiple companies, the system will automatically display a selection popup. Choose the correct company for your data transfer needs.
Geographic Availability
EF Solar is only supported in Switzerland. This integration is not available in Liechtenstein or any other countries.
