They contain complete system configurations with all main components, installation services, and additional equipment pre-configured for instant deployment.
What Project Templates Include
Each project template is a comprehensive package containing:
Main Components: PV panels, inverters, battery storage, mounting systems
Installation Services: Labor, setup, commissioning services
Additional Components: Cables, monitoring, protective equipment
Technology Configuration: Compatible with multiple technology types (PV, Battery, E-Mobility)
Project Template vs. Main Component Template
Project Templates: Complete system packages with all technologies and components for full project deployment
Main Component Templates: Single main component plus related accessories (e.g., PV panel + optimizers)
Prerequisites
User Permissions: Administrator
License Requirements: Available in Full License (Partner License has limited template access)
Required Setup: Component library must be configured with pricing
Access: Navigate to Library → Project Templates
Creating Your First Project Template
Step 1: Access Template Management
Navigate to Library in the main menu
Click on Project Templates
Click Create a new project template in the toolbar
Step 2: Define Basic Information
Configure the template foundation with clear identification:
Template Name: Use descriptive names like "Residential 10kW Standard" or "Commercial Flat Roof 50kW"
Description: Include when to use this template and key features (e.g., "Standard residential system for single-family homes with south-facing roofs")
Technology Selection: Choose PV, Battery, E-Mobility combinations based on your target market
Step 3: Configure Component Packages
Build your complete system configuration:
Select Main Components: Choose compatible PV panels, inverters, and battery systems from your library
Add Installation Services: Include standard labor, design, and commissioning services
Include Other Components: Add cables, monitoring systems, safety equipment,...
Step 4: Save and Test
Click Save to create your project template
Test the template by creating a sample project
Verify all components load correctly and pricing calculates as expected
Make adjustments if needed and save the final version
Using Project Templates in Projects
Creating New Projects with Templates
Click New Project from the project dashboard
Enter customer information and project address
In the Project Template dropdown, select your desired template
Click Create Project - all components load automatically
Customizing Template-Based Projects
Templates provide the foundation, but projects can be customized for specific requirements:
Add Special Components: Include scaffolding, electrical upgrades, or specialized equipment
Adjust Quantities: Modify for specific system sizes or customer needs
Update Pricing: Apply customer-specific discounts or premiums
Remove Unnecessary Items: Eliminate components not needed for specific projects
