No β a separate vinyl master is not required to release music on elasticStage.
Well-mastered audio prepared for streaming or CD will often translate well to vinyl.
How elasticStage Handles Your Audio
Our system transfers your uploaded files to vinyl as faithfully as possible. We do not apply creative mastering or artistic changes.
We preserve the loudness relationship between tracks and only make technical adjustments where required.
When Vinyl Mastering Can Help
Vinyl is a physical format with mechanical limitations that do not exist in digital formats.
A dedicated vinyl mastering engineer may help optimise:
Excessive sibilance or aggressive high frequencies
Heavy stereo bass
Very long sides (over 22β23 minutes)
Extremely loud digital masters
These are artistic decisions that we do not make on your behalf.
Should You Get a Vinyl Master?
If your release is professionally mixed and mastered, you likely do not need a separate vinyl master.
If you are unsure, or your music is very loud, bass-heavy, or highly dynamic, consulting a mastering engineer can improve results.
Our Recommendation
We strongly recommend ordering a test record before making your release public. This allows you to evaluate playback on real turntables and make adjustments if needed.
