A Coinmetro @MetroTag is your unique display name on the Coinmetro platform. It is used in the mobile app to help identify your account for certain features, such as:

Your @MetroTag is separate from your email address and does not replace your login credentials.
🔄 What is a @MetroTag used for?
Your @MetroTag helps make interactions within Coinmetro easier and more user-friendly.
You can use it for:
Receiving funds via internal transfers (instead of using your email or phone number)
Appearing on eligible leaderboard or ranking features
⚙️ How to set up or change your @MetroTag
You can create or update your @MetroTag at any time directly in the mobile app.
📱 Steps:
Open the Coinmetro mobile app
Tap your purple user avatar in the top right corner
Your @MetroTag will appear at the top of the screen
Tap your tag and select Edit Tag
Enter your new @MetroTag, then select Save Tag
Choose whether to set it to public or private by adjusting the toggles.
You can also manage whether your email address and phone number are visible from the same settings area.

You are in control of how your @MetroTag is displayed.
Public: Your tag can appear in relevant app features such as leaderboards
Private: Your tag is only visible for necessary platform functions
You can change this setting at any time.

We understand that your privacy is important. @MetroTags are designed to be non-identifiable display IDs and are not linked to any publicly accessible personal identity information. They cannot be used by external parties to directly or indirectly identify you.
That said, we also understand that preferences vary. If you are not comfortable with your current @MetroTag, you can change it at any time to something else, such as:
A nickname
A random username
Any format you prefer
Your account, your choice.
