⚠️ Important Update: MATIC → POL Migration
We’ve officially started the migration from MATIC to POL. As part of this process:
All MATIC trading and deposits are now disabled.
All MATIC balances are being converted to POL automatically.
POL withdrawals remain disabled until October 13th.
This update affects both trading and staking activities on Coinmetro. However, it is important to note that XCM and other staking activities remain unaffected by this migration.
📝 What Action Is Required?
📩 Emails have been sent to all MATIC holders with full details, but here’s a quick overview:
Staking Plans → All active MATIC staking plans needed to be closed by October 9th.
Spot Trading Positions → All active MATIC spot positions needed to be closed by October 9th, 12:00 UTC.
Margin Positions → All active MATIC margin positions needed to be closed by October 9th, 12:00 UTC. Please note that these requirements apply solely to MATIC staking plans and do not affect other cryptocurrencies like XCM.
If you did not close your staking plans or positions on spot or margin before October 9th, they will be force-closed by our team.
💰 Staking Plans & Penalty Refunds
Any MATIC staking plans closed after the October 3rd announcement will not incur the 50% penalty.
If you have already closed a plan after this date, the penalty amount will be refunded. Please contact our customer support team to arrange this. Additionally, please be aware that XCM staking plans are not affected by this update.
❓ Why Is This Happening?
The Polygon ecosystem is upgrading from MATIC to POL as part of its next development phase. To support this migration, we are updating our systems accordingly.

All remaining MATIC balances will be converted to POL on Monday, October 13th.
POL withdrawals will remain disabled until Monday, October 13th.
Once this process is complete, POL withdrawals will be enabled again.
