1. Sign up
As soon as you click "Sign Up", you will be asked to register your contact information and e-mail.
You will then receive an invitation e-mail, and be able to start the registration flow.
2. Register your company
The self-registration process is easy and straightforward. You can visit this comprehensive, step-by-step guide on how to register your company.
3. Choose a pricing tier
The biggest change compared to free certificate management solutions is that you have to pay for access to the Catena-X dataspace. The dataspace can then be used for other use cases as well, and is not limited to certificate management. See Why do I have to pay for Certificate Management? to learn more.
Which pricing tier is right for you depends on your company revenue and planned data exchange needs for the next 12 months:
Choose a company tier matching your revenue
Choose a dataspace tier depending on your planned data use.
If you only need to exchange certificates with BMW and other OEMs, choose the lowest tier with <20 partners.
If you are planning on sharing certificates with more partners, or using other use cases with larger amounts of data, choose a higher tier.
Pricing example: A small to medium sized company with an annual revenue <100 Million € that is sharing data with up to 20 business partners will pay 1.500 € yearly for dataspace access, plus any fees for app usage.

4. Use the Portal
Once you have a Business Partner Number (BPN), dataspace access and signed the terms, you can use the Catena-X ecosystem.
The Catena-X portal, operated by Cofinity-X, is your gateway to all Catena-X services.
To manage certificates, go to the App Marketplace and choose a Certificate Management app. BMW recommends the AWS Supply Chain app.
6. Manage certificates
After your registration and purchase of a certificate management app, you are now ready to upload and manage your certificates!
(In case you have chosen AWS Supply Chain, you will need an AWS account and your credentials from the portal to set up your account on the app. Please visit the AWS guide to proceed correctly.)
