Definition
Products are unique software products that can be linked to external receivers.
Data storage locations are synonyms for products!

External recipient: Microsoft Corporation
Products:

Effects
If you have added products to an external recipient, you will discover this in processing activities when selecting data storage locations
Entries there have the [External recipient] displayed in square brackets.
Selecting the product/data storage location results in the automatic addition of the corresponding external recipient.
Management
You can manage data storage locations under
Resources > Manage data sources/storage locations
Corresponding linked recipients are displayed under the data storage location and are shown on the right in the meta view
The link symbol can be used to subsequently link data storage locations to external recipients.
