You can save as many signatures as you need, give each one a name, and have Bookboost add the right one automatically. There is a built-in editor, so you do not need any HTML unless you want to bring your own.
Signatures live under Inbox Settings > Signatures, and they are yours alone. Every Operator manages their own.
Three ways to create a signature
Click Add signatures, give it a name, then choose the tab that suits you. The name is how you will recognise it later, so something like "Full" or "Reply" is more useful than your own name if you plan to have several.
Editor. Type your signature straight in. The toolbar gives you font and size, bold, italic, underline, text and highlight colour, left, centre and right alignment, paragraph formatting, bulleted and numbered lists, and a link button. This is the easiest route and needs no HTML at all.
HTML. Paste HTML you already have. A Preview shows you what it will look like before you save, which is worth checking if the HTML came from somewhere else.
Local file. Upload an HTML file.
Click Next to finish. The signature then appears as a named tile on the Signatures page.
Editing and deleting
Click a signature tile to open it. From there you can rename it, change the content and font, then Save edit — or Delete it.
Adding a signature automatically
Under Always add signatures you decide what gets appended to the end of each email, and you set it separately for two cases.
New emails. The signature added when you start a fresh email.
Reply/forward. The signature added when you reply to or forward a conversation.
Each one offers No signature or any signature you have saved. Setting them differently is the point: most teams want the full signature on a new email and something shorter, or nothing at all, on the fifth reply in a thread.
Using a different signature on one email
You are not stuck with the automatic choice. In the message composer, click the signature icon in the toolbar and you get two options.
Insert signatures. Opens your saved signatures so you can drop a different one into this message. Each has a View option if you want to check it first.
New signature. Creates one on the spot, without leaving the conversation.
What this does not do
No images in the editor. The editor handles text, formatting and hyperlinks, so a logo or banner image is not something you can add there.
Signatures carry their own font. Each signature keeps the font and size set in its own editor. The organisation-wide default font under Inbox Settings > Organisation applies to the body of your emails, not to your signature, so the two are set separately.
Per Operator only. There is no account-wide signature you can push to everyone, and an admin cannot create or edit a signature on someone else's behalf. Each person adds their own.
Email only. Signatures apply to email. They are not added to WhatsApp, SMS or other channels.
What to do next
To set the default font, size and weight for the body of your Inbox emails, see Set a default font size and weight for Inbox emails. For the rest of the settings panel, see Inbox settings.
