Introduction
When working with Digital Reception pages in Bookboost, you may notice that the token associated with a form does not match the current name of the form. This can be confusing, but it is completely normal behaviour and does not affect how your forms work.
Main Concept: How Tokens Are Generated ๐
When a Digital Reception form is created, Bookboost automatically generates a token based on the form's original name at the time of creation. This token is a unique identifier used to reference the form across the platform.
Important terms:
Token โ the unique code used to embed or reference a form (e.g. ``)
Form name โ the display name of the form, which can be edited at any time
Use Cases
A form was originally created as "F-Test" but later renamed to "D-TEST" โ the token will still read
f-testA hotel renames a pre-stay survey form multiple times โ the token always reflects the first saved name
A team member sees a mismatch between the form name in the list and the token shown on the right
How It Works: Token Persistence ๐
When a form is first saved, Bookboost locks in the token name based on that original title. Even if the form is renamed multiple times afterwards, the token remains unchanged. This is by design and ensures that any existing references to the token continue to work without breaking.
โ This does not affect how the token reads or retrieves form data โ everything works as expected.
How to Send Out Your Form ๐ค
Go to the Campaigns section.
Select the campaign you want to edit.
Scroll to the Content section.
At the bottom of the content, locate the Digital Reception section.
Click on Digital Reception, then select Form.
Choose the form you wish to send from the list.
Known Limitations
Token names are permanently tied to the form's first saved name and cannot be updated even if the form is renamed.
There is no visual warning in the platform to alert users that a token name differs from the current form name โ manual verification is required.
Conclusion
The mismatch between a form's display name and its token is expected behaviour in Bookboost. The token is generated once at creation and remains stable throughout the form's lifetime, which ensures reliability across campaigns and integrations. When sending a form, simply select it directly from the Digital Reception section within your campaign โ no need to worry about token names at all.
