Introduction
The Digital Reception (also known as the Guest App) allows you to create fully customizable web pages that are sent directly to your guests. Personalizing these pages is key to delivering a branded, relevant, and seamless guest experience, whether you're welcoming a first-time visitor or a loyal repeat guest.
Main Concept
Pages in the Digital Reception are dynamically rendered for each guest, meaning every time a guest accesses a page via their unique link, they see the latest published version. This makes it easy to keep content fresh and relevant without changing the link itself.
Personalization in the Digital Reception works on two levels:
Visual branding: applying your hotel's colors, fonts, and imagery to maintain a consistent look and feel.
Content personalization: tailoring the information shown to specific guest segments using audiences.
Use Cases
🎯 Showing a welcome page with personalized greetings as well as basic property information for first-time guests
🔁 Displaying a simplified check-in page for returning guests
🏢 Creating separate pages for different hotel properties, each with their own branding
🛎️ Building service-specific pages (e.g., spa bookings, local recommendations, F&B menus)
📋 Creating audience-specific pages for direct bookers vs. OTA bookers, couples vs. families etc.
Configuration and Setup
Follow these steps to create and personalize a page in the Digital Reception:
Navigate to Digital Reception in the left-hand menu.
Click on Pages.
In the top right corner, click ➕ Page.
Enter a name for the page and select the property it applies to.
On the left-hand side of the page builder, you will find components (composers) that you can drag and drop onto your page.
Add and arrange the elements you need: such as text blocks, images, buttons, or forms.
Customize each component with your hotel's colors, images, and content.
When satisfied, click Save and Publish. The page is now live and accessible via its DR token. 🚀
💡 Tip: Always use the DR token (not a static URL) in your campaigns. This ensures guests always see the most up-to-date version of the page.
Advanced Setup
Creating Audience-Specific Pages
You can create multiple pages tailored to different guest segments:
Create separate pages for different audiences (e.g., first-time guests, repeat guests, business travelers, families, solo vs. group travelers).
Assign each page its own DR token and use that token in the relevant campaign.
Example: Send a detailed welcome and onboarding page to first-time guests, and a streamlined check-in page to returning guests.
Building Pages for Multiple Properties
If you manage multiple properties, you can create separate pages per property:
When creating a new page, select the relevant property.
Customize content and branding per property to reflect each hotel's identity.
Keep the structure consistent but adjust visuals and text as needed.
Navigation Between Pages
There is currently no built-in navigation menu (e.g., a burger menu). To guide guests between pages:
Use Action Buttons within page components to link to other pages.
Plan your page structure upfront so guests can navigate intuitively.
Known Issues or Limitations
Only the main page components can be customized. Sections such as Keys, Profile, and Map look the same across all pages and cannot be individually styled.
There is no built-in navigation menu: all links between pages must be set up manually using Action Buttons.
Images uploaded to pages have been known to experience upload delays or display issues in some cases. If this happens, try re-uploading the image or contact support.
Conclusion
Personalizing your Digital Reception pages allows you to deliver a branded, guest-centric experience that reflects your hotel's identity and meets the specific needs of different guest segments. By using components, audience-specific pages, and DR tokens, you can keep content dynamic, relevant, and always up to date. 🌟
