You are able to remove an item from a package if required. This process should only be completed when the package is still in the pharmacy.
How to remove an item from a package
1. Locate the package details on CAPA by scanning the package label in the batches or delivery screen this will display the package contents screen. If you do not have the package label you can obtain the package number from the dispense item in the dispensing history tab within the patient profile. Once you have the package number, go to the search option on the main CAPA screen, select extended search then package and type in the package number.
2. Highlight the item you wish to remove from the package, select actions located at the bottom of the screen and select the option to remove item from package. Repeat if necessary for any other items. This will remove the item(s) from the package and leave the item(s) with a status of labelled but not yet packaged.
(If a item has been dispensed and delivered therefore is no longer in the pharmacy then the item may require re-dispensing or collecting).
