This Article aims to show you what to do if you have dispensed a medication against an archived record in Atlas pharmacy with Titan integration. If this happens it can affect the homes ability to scan which can increase risk of giving the resident the wrong medication.
Please see the steps below to resolve this issue.
Press F9 and search for the patient's surname and first initial on Atlas pharmacy. If two records are showing and one of them has a "
" then check this resident's dispensing history. This is the archived record.
You will have to unarchive the original (archived patient). Then check the patient screen to check the match is linked to the archived record.
If the match is linked to the archived record and visible in the Titan match section. From Atlas pharmacy go to the Patients screen, select the profile, Right click then select "remove patient match". If any prescriptions have been linked to the archived record then highlight the prescriptions to be removed then select "Remove patient links". If when the unarchiving the patient record both profiles display as no match please follow the steps below.
Please ensure the incorrect profile is re-archived following the above changes being made. This can be completed via the resident profile>Personal>actions>archive patient.
Please note:
If the details match on both profiles - Name, DOB & NHS number or If when the duplicate resident is unarchived both profiles show as no match the prescriptions will continue to link to the incorrect (archived record) unless the link between Titan/Atlas is severed.
The workaround for this is to change the DOB for the archived resident & save. This can be completed via the resident profile>Personal>actions>change DOB.
Following completing the above steps re-process the prescription on Titan by sending a script back to the spine and process it again on Titan the prescription should automatically link to the correct resident, or the resident should auto link to the correct resident or prompt the patient to show up in the 'ready to match' section where the patients can be matched. The DOB must be changed back after the resident has been matched correctly.
The prescriptions will then automatically linking to the correct profile in the future.
