Release Notes

Version: v9.0.14
Release Date: 05/09/2024

IMPORTANT NOTE: From version 9.0.14 and above the "add drug" function will become an online only feature, an Internet connection will be required to add a new medication via the Atlas App to ensure the relevant safety checks can be completed.

New Features

  • Pending Clinical Check Warning: To minimise clinical risk when adding a new medication within the Atlas App, you will now see an alert if the item in question is pending a clinical medication review at the pharmacy. The system will prevent users from adding the item and will prompt them to contact the pharmacy to complete the outstanding review.

Improvements

  • Reinstate Drug Prompt: This feature enhances the current ‘add drug’ functionality in the Atlas eMAR App. It allows you to reinstate a medication when adding a new record to a resident’s profile if an archived record already exists.

  • Duplicate Therapy Warning: To reduce the risk of creating duplicate medication profiles for residents, we’ve updated the “Add Drug” feature within the app. Now, when you try to add a medication that the resident is already taking, you will be presented with a warning message. Users will be prevented from adding the same medication twice for a resident to reduce any risk of overdosing.

Known Issues

  • Medication with a future start date applied by the pharmacy can be started immediately by Care Home users if required via the app. Previously there had been an issue where on occasion the medications schedule would not download, and the item would display in white once the immediate start date had been applied resulting in users having to update the schedule details manually. This has now been resolved.

This functionality is only currently rolled out to a small percentage of customers and will be rolled out for general release by the end of September.

Additional Information

  • Medications with pending checks at the Pharmacy will be prompted to users 15 minutes after a clinical check is created.

  • The Atlas app release will be a staggard release initially deployed on the 05/09/2024 to 10% of customers. The release will be monitored and rolled out to the remaining homes over the upcoming weeks.
