Pending Clinical Check Warning on Atlas eMAR

To minimise clinical risk when adding a new medication within the Atlas App, you will now see an alert if the item in question is pending a clinical medication review at the pharmacy. The system will prevent users from adding the item and will prompt them to contact the pharmacy to complete the outstanding review. Something to note about this feature:

•You will not be able to continue with the Add Drug process if there is a pending clinical check at the pharmacy.

•If administration is due before the clinical check has been completed, this will need to be accounted on Paper MAR until the item has been added to the system.

Log in to the Atlas eMAR App and locate the resident profile which you intend to add a new medication to. Click Add Drug and enter the medication name. You will be presented with a list of medication to select from which match your search, select the item. The system will perform a check on the resident's list of active medication to check if this item already exists.

If the system identifies that there is a pending clinical check on the Pharmacy's system, a warning message will appear and the following alert message will be displayed "This item cannot be added as there is a pending clinical check. Please contact your pharmacy.

Any administrations for this item due prior to the review of the clinical check will need to be accounted for on paper MAR." You will not be able to proceed with adding this item and will need to contact your Pharmacy.
